“Comfort can be a dangerous thing. You stick around home all the time where it’s safe and nothing ever changes, and before you know it, you get set in your ways and you quit learning, you quit changing, you don’t grow anymore.” ~Frank Peretti

That quote is beautiful. I have been planning on leaving Wichita to go to college for some time now. I’m not going far; I’m going to University of Missouri Kansas City. Kansas City, MO compared to Wichita, KS though is a whole other world. Lately I’ve been second guessing my decision to leave and have been thinking about transferring to Wichita State after the first semester. I’m trying to make myself “stick around home all the time where it’s safe and nothing ever changes.” But lord knows that’s not me, or who I want to be. I want to be able to keep learning, keep changing, and keep growing.

Under The Blue Door

“A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.”

Figuring out what to wear to a country themed nightclub (what can I say, it’s Kansas) is so much more difficult than it needs to be. Do I dress country or do I break out the club wear? I was trying for a good mix of both with this. Comfortable enough to enjoy myself, but daring enough to draw a little attention. Hoping tonight will be fun!
